Great news from Friday the 31st October’s 42nd Annual Bushing Lunch, where all the trophies and awards were announced from the McLaren Vale Wine Show – our new Spring Seed ‘Morning Bride’ Rosé won a Gold Medal and Trophy for Best Rosé or Sparkling Wine. As you can see we are very excited, some more than others….
The Rosé is a dry style made from Shiraz. It’s a lovely wine and was perfect for the lunch as it was a tad warm in the marquee, which held almost 700 people from McLaren Vale and beyond, eating, drinking and celebrating all things vinous.
The winner of the best wine in the 2014 McLaren Vale Wine Show, the Bushing Wine was Hardy’s 2012 Chateau Reynella Shiraz, and you can see winemaker Matt Caldersmith and his off-sider being driven around in a very old car (make?) with all due pomp and ceremony.
If you fancy trying all the trophy winners from the show, there will be a consumer tasting at the National Wine Show in Adelaide on Friday 14th November from 5.30pm. Bookings can be made here for this tasting, which costs $20.00.
