We had a few nice reviews for BoB and Spring Seed from US wine man James Sucking (jamessuckling.com) and his Australian off-sider, Nick Stock. We met them both for lunch (with a bunch of other Vale stalwarts) at the magnificent Star of Greece.  

The  2017 Bosworth Shiraz and the  2017 Bosworth Heretic  both got 92 points and the  2018 Puritan  came away with 91 points. They called the Puritan old-school – maybe it is old hat now, making this style of young, fresh, unwooded juicy young Shiraz with no added preservative! Fun fact – we have just bottled the 2019 Puritan, which is the tenth vintage of this ‘Joven’ style wine.

The 2017 Spring Seed Cabernet  did well with 91 points as did the  2017 Spring Seed ‘Scarlet Runner’ Shiraz.
